Ricardo Marvão

Co-founder of Beta-i, a collaborative innovation agency with global reach, founded in 2010 and a key builder of the startup ecosystem in Lisbon. I specialize in designing and managing projects from strategy to pilot testing and venture building. Our main focus areas are Energy, Health, Oceans, and Sustainability. I have also founded several educational initiatives in Portugal, such as Próxima Geração (an academy for the next generation of young politicians), Singularity University Portugal, the European Innovation Academy (a summer entrepreneurship school for 500 university students per year), and the executive program Space for Business, created in partnership with ESA and the business schools St. Gallen, RSM, and Nova SBE.
